Information:
Review: Microsoft demoed their upcoming Windows 8 OS during the BUILD conference on 4 Oct 2011 along with the sneak peek to developers platform and tools. Windows 8 includes plethora of new features which includes the all new immersive Metro style UI, Internet Explorer 10 (IE10), Task Manager, Quick boot, Face password, Cloud integration etc. They also made available the Windows 8 Developer Preview copy to all the attendees out there along with a Samsung Tablet so that the developer community can play with it and give feedback before the RTM hits store. And for the rest of us the very same files will be uploaded to their public servers and will be available soon.

Features:
The main feature that was shown is the extensively redesigned user interface, optimized for touchscreens as well as mice and keyboards. A new "Start screen", similar to the one in Windows Phone 7, includes live application tiles. It replaces the Start menu, being triggered by the Start button or Windows key, and is also the first screen shown on startup. The user can go to the regular desktop by choosing the "Desktop" tile or a traditional desktop-based application. The Start screen also displays the user's name and avatar. Windows 8 has a new developer platform according to Microsoft Vice President Christopher Ham, who called it "our new developer platform, which is...based on HTML5 and JavaScript. The new applications run in full-screen, but two of them can be displayed side-by-side using "Snap". Examples of new applications that were demoed include a Twitter client, a weather application, a stock-tracking application, an RSS news feeder, and a virtual piano.

The new interface is primarily designed for 16:9 screen resolutions, with 1366×768 and larger screens able to display two Windows 8 applications. 1024×768 screens can display one Windows 8 application in full-screen, and 1024×600 screens can only use the traditional Windows desktop. Mike Angiulo confirmed at Computex 2011 that Windows 8 will use OEM Activation 3.0 instead of OEM Activation 2.1 (used by Windows 7), which supposedly makes it less prone to cracks. Windows 8 features a new lock screen that shows the date and time and notifications, along with a customisable background.
Windows 8 will also include Microsoft's Hyper-V virtualization tool. Previously only offered in Windows Server, Hyper-V will now be available in client versions of Windows for the first time. The system requirements for Hyper-V are a 64-bit processor, a 64-bit version of Windows 8, and a minimum of 4 GB of RAM. Hyper-V also requires a 64-bit system that has Second Level Address Translation (SLAT), a feature that helps with memory management. Many of Intel's and AMD's recent processors support this feature, including many of Intel's i-Series processors (with Extended Page Table) and AMD's 10h family processors. On September 8, 2011, Microsoft announced that Windows 8 has short boot times, because it saves the kernel's memory to the hard disk on shutdown (similar to the existing Hibernate option) and reloads it on startup.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, reprising their roles as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The film’s ensemble cast also includes Helena Bonham Carter, Jim Broadbent, Robbie Coltrane, Warwick Davis, Tom Felton, Ralph Fiennes, Michael Gambon, Ciarán Hinds, John Hurt, Jason Isaacs, Matthew Lewis, Gary Oldman, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, David Thewlis, Emma Thompson, Julie Walters and Bonnie Wright.

The film was directed by David Yates, who also helmed the blockbusters “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1.” David Heyman, the producer of all of the Harry Potter films, produced the film, together with David Barron. Screenwriter Steve Kloves adapted the screenplay, based on the book by J.K. Rowling. Lionel Wigram is the executive producer.

Behind the scenes, the creative team was led by director of photography Eduardo Serra, production designer Stuart Craig, editor Mark Day, composer Alexandre Desplat, visual effects supervisor Tim Burke, and costume designer Jany Temime.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents a Heyday Films production, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” which marks the last installment in the most successful film franchise of all time.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” has been  released worldwide in theatres and IMAX, in 3D and 2D, on July 15, 2011.”

The film was produced by Legendary Pictures and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Production began in October 2010 and the film was released in the United States on May 26, 2011.

Call of Duty: Black Ops is a first-person shooter video game developed by Treyarch, published by Activision and released worldwide on November 9, 2010 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Nintendo DS (separate version developed by n-Space) consoles. Announced on April 30, 2010, the game is the seventh installment of the Call of Duty series, and the first to be set in the Cold War. It is the third in the series to be developed by Treyarch, and is a sequel to the developer's Call of Duty: World at War.
Within 24 hours of going on sale, the game sold more than 7 million copies, 5.6 million in the U.S. and 1.4 million in the U.K., breaking the record set by its predecessor Modern Warfare 2 by some 2.5 million copies. A subtitled version was released in Japan on November 18, 2010. A Japanese-dubbed version was released on December 16, 2010.
In the game the player assumes the role of a foot soldier who can wield various firearms, of which two at a time can be carried; throw grenades and other explosives; and use other equipment as weapons. A player close enough to an enemy can kill with one knife blow. A character can take three stances: standing, crouching, or prone; each affects rate of movement, accuracy, and stealth. The player can dive prone from a standing position when running. The player can momentarily sprint but will then grow tired. The screen glows red to indicate damage to a player's health, which goes away over time. When the character is within the blast radius of a live grenade, a marker indicates the direction of the grenade, helping the player to flee or throw it back. Among the game's weapons are crossbows with bolts and explosive ammunition, Dragon's Breath rounds and ballistic knives.

Today's tip will help you to resolve the compatibility issues between the Office 2003 and Office 2007/2010. Because all programs in office 2003 used the old file extensions for its different programs.  For example Word 2003 saved files with extension .doc, Excel 2003 with .xls and PowerPoint with .ppt. but on the other hand  office 2007 used the new file extensions for its different programs.  For example Word 2007 saved files with extension .docx, Excel 2007 with .xlsx and PowerPoint with .pptx. Now the problem is that when you try to open office 2007 files into office 2003 and you will not open the file due to compatibility issues between both office versions.  Microsoft provides a free compatibility pack to convert office 2007 documents to the office 2003 format. There are many third party free converter are available but here we are using Microsoft office compatibility pack.

The Social Network is a 2010 drama film about the founding of the Internet social networking website Facebook and the resulting lawsuits. The film was directed by David Fincher and features an ensemble cast—Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Brenda Song, Armie Hammer, Max Minghella and Rooney Mara.
Aaron Sorkin adapted his screenplay from Ben Mezrich's 2009 nonfiction book The Accidental Billionaires. Sorkin also makes a cameo appearance as a would-be investor. No Facebook staff or employees, including founder Mark Zuckerberg, were involved with the project, although Eduardo Saverin was a consultant for Mezrich's story. The film is distributed by Columbia Pictures and was released on October 1, 2010, in the United States to critical acclaim.
During its debut weekend in the United States, the film opened at #1 grossing an estimated $23 million in 2,771 theaters. In its second weekend it was #1 again, dropping only 31.2%, breaking Inception's 32.0% record as the smallest second weekend drop for any #1 movie of 2010, and being the third smallest overall behind Secretariat's 25.1% drop and Tooth Fairy's 28.6% drop. As of October 31, 2010 the film has grossed $79.7 million in the United States and $32.2 million overseas for a worldwide total of $132.9 million.

GTA III mod 1.0

This is a popular mod for GTA III that updates Liberty City to look even more like an average American city. Included are new cars, new weapons, buildings, bridges, and even the Statue of Liberty. Each car has been redesigned and some familiar businesses have taken up shop in Liberty City. Weapons are stronger, trees have been replaced, new bridges have been added and previously closed areas are now open to exploration. Created as a mixture of all the best GTA III mods, this one is sure to please.
The mod also includes new in-game menus and loading screens; in-game texts changed to fit the RGTA; new billboards, posters and advertisements all over Liberty City; water has got a new color; all trees have been changed to beautiful palms; grey rocks/cliffs are now beige like in Greece; the roads look more modern; the pipes in the water have been deleted; you can travel by boat everywhere you want; nail boxes belongs to Euro Express; new helicopters at airport; new pager by CityGear; new crosshairs for rocket launcher and sniper rifle; default ugly radar is now color and very detailed: roads are white, buildings are orange, grass is green, water is blue and places of interest are purple.
